This will be the FSSP's first house in Ecuador following two years of mission work and evangelization.
In August 2026, faithful, seminarians and priests from the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) will visit Ecuador for the third time. On this occasion, however, they will not only assist with the material and spiritual needs of Guale, but establish a new FSSP apostolate for the Fraternity in Ecuador.
Over the past two years, the community of Guale has warmly welcomed the missionaries, and the fruits of this work have become clear—the most prominent
being that the Fraternity is here to stay.
These missions began at the invitation of the Bishop of Portoviejo, Most Rev. Eduardo Castillo Pino, who has shown great support for the promotion of the
Traditional Latin Mass and is now opening the doors to this new apostolate.
Busy days lie ahead for the missionaries as they finalize the last details required to inaugurate this new location, where Fr. Xavier Proust, FSSP, will serve as priest-in-charge.
The mission begins on August 19. Let us pray fervently for its fruits and for the perseverance of all who will labor there.
If you would like to share in the material support needed to make this foundation a success—travel, Mass supplies, and the first necessities of a permanent presence—you may make a gift below.
Your prayers and generosity help bring the Traditional Latin Mass and the sacraments to souls who have long awaited them. Thank you for standing with Mission Tradition and the missionaries of FSSP Ecuador.
